The three bureaus have come up with a UNIVERSAL score that goes up to 950 or 1000. It will be available to consumers within a year, thouigh businesses might have access now. I forget the name…something like “Vantage Score”

A friend of mine told me that the Fico scores were moved up in classification where Fair scores are now poor scores.

Anybody know what the ranges are for most lenders?

Is 650 poor?

I haven?t experienced any changes at this time. Yes, the lenders seem to enforce their existing criteria a little stronger and I do expect them to tighten up a little more.

You?ve got to remember, one lenders ?A? loan program, can be another lenders ?B?.
I?m saying this because even though the lenders are credit score driven, they will be tightening up in other areas other then credit score.
