Going to get my 1st subject to deal signed up tonight (I’m hoping) anyways…

After I get all of the documents signed and notarized, what do I need to get from the sellers?

Stuff like Payment book, the note and mortgage, ??? What else should I be getting from them?

Thanks

Jim

How should I dress when meeting these owners who are 4 months behind?

Casual…“Jeans & Sweater” …or should I be wearing “Dress pants and a business shirt”

Thanks Again!

Jim

Jim,
You will want to get a payment book and/or loan statement from them.
All the docs signed, and be sure to get an authorization form so you can contact the lender.
And as far as how you should dress?
Dress for comfort.
This is really up to you.
I personally usually wear jeans and a half way decent shirt, nothing fancy at all.
One of the advantages of being self employed is that you are in charge here.
If someone who has a problem with their real estate needs a solution and you can provide that, they are generally not going to stop the deal based on “how?” you dress.
Heck, I’ve even met with sellers when I pulled up on my Harley and wore a t-shirt.
Good luck and go get em!
