Erich,

Assignment of Contract

For $10 and other good and valuable consideration the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned Erich does hereby assign and transfer all rights, title and interest into that “Contract to Purchase” dated 3-8-99 and attached hereto as exhibit “A” unto Scott Britton.

Dated: 3-8-99

Your Signature

Thats about all there is to an assignment. It’s a simple document and can actually be written on the back of your contract… or made a part of your contract. This is the way Promissory Notes and Checks are endorsed. It can be really simple.

I am interested in my first “flipping” a fixer property. I just finished reading Jackie Lange’s Beginner’s Quick Flip Primer. Everything makes great sense, except the Assignment of Contract form. My friend in the local escrow office has never heard of it…she just says its a double escrow.

Can anyone tell me what is this form and how can I get my hands on a good copy?
