You are right, some cities have laws against posting these signs. Check with your zoning/code enforement agency in your city. My city does and I rip 'em down left and right. They are a blight on neighborhoods.

way to make own bandit signs? Thanks to Jim IL, who suggested using card stock and waterproof ink, are there other ways to make your own bandit signs cheaply?

Also, what are the support methods used to hold those signs in place? Signs that I’ve put up are nailed to wooden phone posts, but I find them not as effective, because they are harder to spot from moving cars, since most people, when they are driving, focus on the area closer to the road/ground.

In addition, I feel like ‘bandit’ putting ‘bandit signs’ up. I know that city would not appreciate these (though they left at least two signs hanging for a week now) and wonder what would happen if police saw me putting these up?
