The answers that you find may be too general for your needs. Depending on where you are, even different parts of the city where you live may or may not apply to you.
The most important is to pay the right price. If you buy it at a discount, you will be able to suffer a small stagnation or declination in prices. Also depending on your strategy, will determine what prices you pay.
That being said, here’s an article/chart I could share with you.
But your best bet is to talk to people in the areas you want to invest in. Realtors are good source, so are the people who actually live in the neighborhood. Your local REI club is also another good place.
