Most financial calculators come up with the right answer, but the HP and TI are the most commonly used in the real estate industry. The HP 12-C is old technology, and has some built in problems, is slow, and the reverse polish notation is difficult for some people.
The Real Estate Master, and some Casios, and Radio Shack calculators are not standard either, and have modes that make them difficult to use as well. So stick with the $30 financial calculators by Hewlett Packard or Texas Instruments, and you will be fine and in the mainstream.
HP Hewlett Packard 10B Financial Calculator
What do you think of this calculator?
And even more important, what do you think of the
book that comes with it?
Can it do all the different real estate problems?
What can it not do that the HP 17B and HP19B can do?
Do you recommend other financial calculators, if so
which ones.
