The problem with the LD carriers is that their rates are advertised for interstate. Intrastate rates within Texas are considerably higher. Personally I use MCI invoiced over the internet for LD at 9 cents a min. anytime of day or night + 5 cent weekends. Within Texas I use Sprint cell service, as anywhere in Texas is a local call. There should be some plans that fit your call needs.

I am considering changing long distance services now that I am making more LD calls. I call mostly in-state. I am wondering if any of you have used the 10-10 #'s that are now available and if so, what is your review of them? My local phone comapany said that more and more people are having any LD carrier taken off of there account all together and using just 10-10 #'s.
