Aside from a good CPA, you can find lots of info on this at your local library. Just get some books on accounting as relates to real estate investment. Also, there are numerous forums on accounting where experts will give you a hand.

As a new real estate investor, Outside of finding a good CPA, How did you season investors get started with your accounting, bookwork, tax write offs? I know very little about these things, but now is the time to learn. What is recommended?
