I’m not convinced the Yahoo site is very accurate. People who have used it - have you found lots of inaccurate information? I’ve checked on two houses I used to live in, and found gross mistakes. One, today worth about 170,000, had two recent sales listed (and it hasn’t been sold) the first at 35K and the second at 1.6 million. I wish I could have bought it and then sold it for those figures!

What is the best way to find an accurate retail price for a property in a specific area? I am looking at several houses and would like to compare the worth of these properties with others in the neighborhood. Thanks for any help!!

Here is the “yahoo” service that was referred to in the previous response. It does not cover all states, yet, but the ones it does cover are done pretty comprehensively.
Here it is:

Hope this helps,

someone had a post not long ago that had the
address for a yahoo realestate values search
engine.I think if you did a "yahoo home values
or yahoo real estate home values search it
would come up.I went there myself ad used it
tocheck on my own house. It can tell you by
city zip code and address all thehouses that
sold in a certain time frame and what the
price was.Hope this helps
