Make sure you have seperate bank accounts for each LLC. And don’t run anything from your LLC’s through your personal banking accounts.

Well I did it- we just finished incorporating our several single family homes into 3 separate LLCs. They are now out of our names officially. Now I would like some practical advice on how to be sure I run them properly-- keeping business separate from personal, what an attorney may look for in the case of a lawsuit to “pierce the corporate veil”. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

In addition to Phil’s excellant advice, i use a different bank for my business accounts than i use for my personal accounts. Just another little step that may help to distance your business and personal stuff.
