Is this a fair question? Why should appraisers work for free?

How could one get an appraisel done at cost or even for free?

Don’t know anyone who does appraisals for free–do you work for free? If you are talking about getting comparables, then Jim answered your Q. There’s a big differrence between the two. Everyone get can an appraisal at cost. You just pay what they ask, that is the cost. HEre it’s $300-$325 for conventional loan and $350-$400.00.

You can do your own comparable sales analysis with similar homes in the area. Just find out how much homes sold for that are similar to the one you want to appraise. Look for number of bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, and any extras the house might have, such as garage or pool or things like that.

I hoped this helped a bit.

GOOD LUCK!!!
