In my area my average cost for a house that size would be $800. Ask your agent about other factors. Here brick is way cheaper than vinyl or wood. Location such as how far from fire station counts.

Can only comment on my area (Seattle-WA) so I don’t know how different the numbers will be, but…
Insurance is about $200 per year for every $100K of value on single families. Then again houses are commonly $300K around Seattle and the insurance is typically around $600-700 per year for those homes.
From ken’s response it sounds like it might be much more expensive on a cost per dollar value basis.
