That may be the lenders standards. Use a different lender. Do you have receipts to show proof of the expenses you incurred doing the rehab? such as home depot bills, etc? If so, most lenders will refinance you. If you can not find a suitable one, email me directly and I will try to assist you.

I was just told today that the foreclosure I bought and rehabbed may not be eligible for refinancing because I didn’t use a licensed contractor to do the work. I have heard of people doing the work themselves on some of these houses. It is hard to believe that this is true. Has anyone else run into this problem or am I just getting the run around?
