Community properties say that a H&W have an interest in all marital property, regardless how titled. So, a quitclaim deed in may not be enough to release a spouse’s interest. Check with your local title or escrow company, what is appropriate.

Hi,

I run into a property situation(CA) regarding quit claim deed, and need help quick.

For whatever dump reason the husband signed a quit claim deed for the property to his wife. So now the husband will have no title on the deed even it was community property. Is there a way for the husband to regain the title? Can he cancel that quit claim deed? If so what would the paperwork name? Also, they are getting a divorce so the wife’s cooperation is very unlikely.
