As far as I know you dont need a license to invest in residentail real estate in any of the 50 states. You only need a license to broker property.I visited the state of Georgia website and it doesnt mention any such license requirements…You could call your local municipality or local real estate investors club(there is a list on this site for your state) and double check with them…

Could anyone give me any leads or information as to how I would go about getting a business license in GA for real estate investing?

It depends on where your business location is. Most of the counties in the state of Georgia issue the business licenses. The state only keeps a registry of the incorporated businesses in Georgia. They do not issue business licenses. I presume that you have already formed and incorporated your business and wish to start operations. If you do not intend on doing business in your business name, there is no need for a business license. Check with the county.
