Can someone tell me what is wrong with buying and holding property. I am new to the real estate investing game, and a lot of people are very against buying and hoolding on to property. I do not see a problem if you have a good propery mangement company and protection. Like holding your property in a trust.

Clyde. Don’t believe everything you hear. There are ways to buy and hold and not pay the costs and deal with the tenants and toilets. For those of us who have been through it, fast cash, beyond having enough to realistically pay your bills, is not the way to go. Wealth is built on buy and hold. Maybe you need a bit of both?

Clyde,
If you intend to manage them yourself and real estate is inflating in value you may build equity fast. If you have them managed by a service co, their fee may soak up most or all of the profits, so unless the value is inflating it may be better to take your profits and move on.
