I am also from Canada…Ontario…Niagara Area. I have been asking that regularly, and have been told that most Real Estate law in Canada, USA, and Australia is based on the same Old English Law…so it is all very similar. The only BIG differences I can imagine are the housing programs available…which I will have to research. Aside from that, I’ll offer you the same advice that was given to me, … Take a Real Estate Broker to lunch. Maybe hit a few Mortgage companies with a list of questions, or search for a local Real Estate Club or Association. Good luck, and let me know what you find out. I’m thinking of pursuing the Lease Option Market to generate some cash…but I have a LOT of legal questions to ask…so i’ll be studying bigtime. I hate being new at something…especially when I can see the huge benefits.
