It sounds like it could be a lease option (1year) and wants it closed within 3 weeks. The contract may be up. He never obtained a loan for the home. He’s assigning the contract to you to make the purchase. These are common.

can anyone tell me if it is possible that i can take over a contract from a seller who purchased a home from a new builder? the seller never went to closing he wants to sell the property for what he paid one year ago, the seller says all i have to do is sign the contract and take it from there with the builder. Now the seller also says i need to also close on the home with the builder in 3 weeks is that possible? I am pre approved and have good credit and have paid a home loan off. The seller says it’s called flipping a contract does anyone know of this.
