I’m thinking of buying a junior lien from a private party. Do I need the home owner/boprrower’s permission to pull a credit check?

If so, is there anyway around that restriction?

Also, what sources are there to get cheap credit reports?

an unauthorized credit check is a $ 1000 fine.

I have sued a bank, that pulled my credit unauthorized on all 3 reports, becaue it brought my score down 14 points. We settled for 1.5k
