There seems to be a constant ongoing question about how to discount a note. For those just learning or struggling I posted an article on the subject at www.papergame.com
It’s a subject that is hard to address in a short post and doesn’t fit well in one of these messages. It’s best laid out with columns and a nice format to the numbers. The article isn’t any kind of a comprehensive lesson - just a short lesson to show the concept. Discounting really is quite simple. It’s three easy steps and just a matter of knowing which calculator registers to use at which time.
