To manage your own property, I’d almost guarantee, no license needed.

To manage for others - check with Real Estate Commission - most places it requires a Real Estate Broker’s license.

I’ve had many properties in VA and still do. I manage all of them and just so you know; Virginia is probably one of the most PRO-Landlord states in the US, being a common wealth.
