I never thought to do a search on my own name, but you’re right. I always thought I was doing a good thing by including my state, but it does seem to prevent an archive search.

Now, frankly, I feel a bit arrogant changing my newsgroup name to allow others to look back in the archives for my “words of wisdom”. I’ll have to give it some thought.

Thanks for pointing it out, though.

FYI:

To make it easier to search for my posts, I have changed my username to “Todd_OH”. Neither “Todd (OH)” nor “Todd OH” return any search results. Could be my own user error… or whatever. I noticed that its easy to find “JT-IN”, so I have followed suit.

I am posting this for the benefit of others who may benefit from this insight in the search mechanism.

I just hope I can remember my own name :slight_smile:
