If you have High speed internet access I would recomend using www.vonage.com. They have a small business account for less than $50.00 a month tha includes:
Dedicated Fax line
Unlimited local and long distance calling - this is great if you deal with a lot of banks on pre foreclosure deals.
Can setup various hunt group numbers quickly for just $5.00 dollars extra each additional number. So if you live in Utah and have clients in Texas and New York you could give them local numbers that will forward on to your other number in Utah.
I live in a city which borders 2 states, I live in one and I want a phone number with an area code in the other. The phone company has told me that without an address in the other areacode/state they cant help me out. Sounds broken.

Get a cell phone. Usually can pick the area code and number from ANY of their service areas. Brother lives in Florida and has a cell phone with a Virginia area code so the family can call him for free.
