Hi,

Can anyone suggest a good coursebook on short sales? I am about to do my first deal and only way to do it is by discounting the mortgage thru the seller’s lender because the seller is upside down. My seller is very motivated and I have built good rapport with her. I do not want to miss this opportunity by messing up this deal due to my lack of knowledge.

The aforementioned book is a good overview of short sales. It’s only $37, and is available via download. At that price, don’t expect it’s going to give you everything you need to do a deal. It’s a good summary, but as one might expect, it’s a bit short on specifics. I have no connection to the author, but I have the publication. You can easily read it in one sitting.

There is also a short sale course available on this site. Look in the catalog section. I haven’t seen it, so I can’t comment on specifics. It’s a bit pricey, but if you stand to make a gazillion dollars on your deal, it might be worth it!
