Need help getting a Heloc. Credit scores are very low, but have two properties with a nice amount of equity.

How low is very low? How much equity do you have? Where are you located? How is the job situation? How is your total debt vs. your income?

My scores are 528,527 and 489. I have around $55,000 in equity. I’ve been on my job three years and make around $28,000 a yr. My debt is about $15,000.

Not looking good with those credit scores, but I guess I should have asked how much is the house worth and how much do you owe?

I owe about $111,000 and the house last appraised at $165,000.

How big of a heloc are you looking for? I think that your scores may be too low to reach it. You may be able to refinance though if you really need the money. I will check tomorrow.

I was looking to get about a $20,000 heloc. With my scores being so low would a refi with cash out really be an option.

It will be easier to find than a heloc, at those scores, I can tell you that. What state are you in?

I’m in Cleveland Ohio. Where would you recommend searching for refinancing?
