Looking at the MLS numbers is there any way to find out what year and month the listing started?

sequential number with no embedded secret information. You could possible fugure out when it was listed by the listing dates of numbers before and after. However since the lenghth of listing contracts vary, the termination date of the contract would still be undeterminable.
