I found the owners of vacant props, now what? - Posted by Matt

This appears to be for Florida only. You could check to see if the county where the prop. is located has a website. If so, see if they have a “GIS” sight and you can probably check Tax info. for the owner/one who pays the taxes.

I recently found a bunch of vancant properties and looked up there owners on the web by the addresses. So I found the owners name and address. I then searched the clerk of courts database for any lis pendens, mortgages, death certs, and so on. What do I do now? Should I just mail them something? Thank you for any responses. All of your past responses have been very helpful.

You Also might try looking up their phone number @ www.searchbug.com and calling them and asking if they would like to sell their house.

Worst thing they can say is “no”!

Good Luck!

Hi Matt,
Can you share the web address you used to look up the owners? Thanks!

I went to the clerk of courts website in my area and they have all the info you want in the public records database. I just used a search engine like mamma.com to find out where it was.

sure, it’s propertyappraiser.com. You can search by address, subdivision, name, instrument #. It’s great, enjoy.
