What I do in cases like this is call the ReMax office in the area and offer to pay someone to give me a Market Ananysis on the property.
Generally they charge me $100 for the service, and within a few days I get the comps emailed to me along with a photo of the subject house if the agent has a digital camera or it the property has been listed with an availble photo.
I work with a guy in KS that wants to sell his home in Cape Coral Fl. I’m thinking about buying it. For starters, I looked at the Lee COunty website and of course the values are very low. Anyone have a suggestion on getting somewhat accurate comps?

Hey Jim,
I thought Lee county had a “sales search” section where one could run comps.
Del has a good idea about a local RE office, also if you would like to do it on your own check out www.homradar.com. You may be able to pull up something recent from them.
