our broker had to do some searching to get noo policies on mobiles, but she found a company called Auto Owners- sometimes she gets Progressive to do it.

Insurance for vacant mobile home rehab - Posted by B. Whittaker

Hi -
I am looking for insurance for a mobile home, 1999 double wide, not on a foundation, not occupied, in need of minor renovation. It’s in escrow, and no insurance company I spoke to will touch it. It’s bank-owned, and I haven’t been able to find out how it’s insured now.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Steve,
On the few that I’ve done, the agent always asks me if the home is currently occupied. Then he says he can’t insure it until I get it rented out. This is with Foremost. What’s the magic word?
