If you missed my earlier post, I received a certified letter the other day from a “found money” firm, advising me they’d located nearly $90k in an unclaimed account that belonged to me.
After looking and not finding for a week, I finally agreed to their terms (35% fee) and the fellow said, “do you recall your loan with Doris S. ?”
Grrrr. It was an overage deal, one we not only knew about but structured to make it happen, and one that we’d already collected on a couple months ago.
Well, at least we got copies of their contracts . . . but I would have preferred the $60k.

Look at the bright side. In THIS particular case you ended up with the full $90k instead of having to settle for the $60k since you already collected on it!
