Out of State Owners - Posted by Natalie

Someone let me know please if there is a way to search for out of state owners at the tax office. Tax records in metro Atlanta (that I have seen) are sorted by parcel number or owner name. There is no search function for other states, or an “out of state owner mailing address” category, as far as I know. It seems virtually impossible to utilize tax records for these kinds of searches. I would love to hear some ideas.

I was wondering - is there a way one could get the addresses of out of state owners over the internet?

What if I found a house that looked abandoned and I want to find the owner - is there any site where you can type the address and get the title / present owner?

Another question re flipping - when you have the buyer and the seller and the offer has been accepted…who pays earnest money? Also - would I have to do a simultaneous close?

Thanks!!!

Your tax assessor’s office would be able to give address info. and they have web access in some areas.

The buyer is the party who pays earnest money.
