Ben…you’re lucky if he did throw it away. I’ve had telemarketers threaten to give my info to every other telemarketer they knew telling them that I “was a prime target.” So, now, I just play as dumb as I can [no real “stretch” for me] when they call.

Hey Guys!

The Ad reads:

House for sale
123 XYZ Street, Anytown USA
$xxx.xxx.xx
Principals Only.

I understand this whole ad except the last line.

What does principals only mean?

Thanks
Sherry Bleau

This refers to no brokers-they just want actual buyers. Sellers who decide to go the FSBO (For Sale By Owner) route hate to get calls from real estate agents due to the commission. If you call enough ads. in the paper sooner or later the seller will probably ask if you are a broker.

-Good Luck, Chris

I learned about this line very early on… - Posted by Ben

The first time I posted a tax lien certificate for sale on a popular note bulletin board, my phone was ringing off the hook but it was ALL brokers saying they could FIND me a buyer but I had to promise them
a $5,000 commish. Yeh right! One guy even got nasty when I said no and said “I guess I’ll throw this one in the garbage”. Fine with me.
