If you have the credit to qualify, it is a great way to make money in a rising market and you can flip the house when it is finished, but since your payments don’t start until it is completed, you can “own” it for a very short time.

Does anyone have input on investing in the the new home market. For instance, we recently bought a NEW townhome four months ago and it already appreciated 28K and we just bought a second NEW single family home in the area and within in one week of signing the contract prices already jumped 15K, and they haven’t even broke ground! This appears to have some potential and we are wondering if other people are investing in HOT new home markets?
