Rather than trying to find someone who will loan you money, why not try finding a seller willing to owner finance? Run an ad that basically says what you’ve already stated, “Want to Buy. I have excellent credit and cash for down payment–looking for owner financed 3bed/2bath on southside of Timbucktoo. Mary 555-5555”
