If you’re using cash as collateral, you’ll have no trouble at all getting a 100% loan. Any bank will be happy to take care of you, as will almost any private investor if the return is right.

Before they will be accepted, the TD’s are the subject of much scrutiny, including, but not limited to, LTV ratios, underlying liens, collateral valuation, overall yield, and the caliber of the people or entities making the payments. Banks don?t really want them as collateral. I guess they don?t like the layers between them and the collateral.
