Ken,

I too have been trying to locate a club in Sacramento but no luck. I’ve even talked to the guy who ran the old one here. He didn’t sound too motivated to get another one going, but in it’s “heyday” it had up to 2-300 members.

I’ve had a few nibbles from other REI folks here on the board, but when pressed to action, the silence was overwhelming.

I would be interested in pursuing this if you are. It only takes two and maybe others will follow. Give me an email and let’s talk about getting one started.

There used to be one here, but that one is no longer around. Was called WIN or Blue Vase (same group). Since there aren’t any, I am toying with the idea of starting one myself. There seems to be a desire to find one here in Sac, but “no takers”. So, I just may do it.

If you are interested in “joining”, please let me know, and what kinds of help or training you would be interested in. Also, those of you that are active and would like to share your knowledge, I would like to know that too.

Let’s see what can happen here with this seed of a thought…
