Real Estate Accounting Book Recommendations - Posted by Percy
Posted by Percy on November 29, 1999 at 22:38:21:
I am looking for a recommendation on a good book that covers accounting principles. I am in the process of setting up Quickbooks to track property costs, installment sales, rehab expenditures, advertising, etc. I want to do it right and not create a total mess.
Also, anyone have any sample Quickbooks data files they would be willing to share?
Cheers–Percy

Percy,
Here is a $600 solution for the Quickbooks program as it applies to Real Estate investing. It may or may not be THE solution for you. But I have had a few recommendations that were pretty good. No personal experience with it yet.
Go to http://www.yeiter.com. Click on “Storefront”.
Then click on “Publications - Real Estate Tax”.
Then click on WCTMOO1 (Customized Tax Bookkeeping for RE Entrepreneurs) for description.
Cost is $595
