I’m looking into buying distressed properties for cash, and then refinancing for the appraised value after fix up. Will banks loan on the appraised value, or on the original purchase cash. If at the purchase price, how can I get around that.

It depends…on the bank, the property, your credit, really a lot of factors come into play. One bank will, the next one will not. What you should do is research to find a lender that will refi with no seasoning. They are out there.
