The people that service the loan can look it up by loan number or social. Not a big deal.

This is my first short sale attempt, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Seller of the property has filled out the 'Authorization to release information" form, but doesn’t know/can’t find documentation with the loan number. If I fax this form to the lender, would they go through the trouble of digging out the loan number since the form specifies seller’s social security number? BTW, lender is first option mortgage.

Please let me know what I should do.

Thanks,
Kazi

Don’t worry about it…you can call the bank & just provide the social security number.

If you want to search for it, just go online to www.netronline.com and search under that individual’s name. Their recorded mortgage will pop up, and the loan number will be right on the agreement. But again, that’s only if you REALLY needed it in a pinch and didn’t want to wait on hold…
