It’s the golden rule. He who has the gold, makes the rules. If he has the cash you need and that’s the only way you can proceed, I’d say it’s worth it. Try calculating what your time is worth compared to what your friend is willing to invest. You may find that he is actually getting the raw end of the deal, but if he’s willing to risk his investment for the potential reward, it’s a win/win.

I have remodeled a few houses on my own. A friend of mine wants to partner with me. He has no real estate / remodeling experience but would come up with 100% of the money. I would provide the experience, the crew and also my good credit (title would be under my name). I know these deals are whatever the parties negotiate between them but are they any guidelines? Is a 50/50 profit split fair? Thanks for your feedback.
