Kristine,
I’ll tell you off the board, as I don’t know how many locals are reading here and don’t want to get too detailed as to who all was involved.

Just thought I’d let those of you who have answered and who have read previous posts a few weeks ago know what happened.
This was about a vacant lot, that had 250K of tax liens/code enforcement liens, which were way higher than value of the lot.

It took me 2 weeks to get a meeting with one of the people in charge here, but she loved it. I actually came in with the builder, who’s going to buy it from me. Since he lives in the neighborhood, we used that as a major selling point, as he’s invested in that neighborhood.

She will push it through for us to have most of those liens dropped. We’ll have another meeting next friday.

So, thanks to all of those, who have answered, and who gave me hope that something could get done.

Michaela

Michaela: congrats on getting to someone who wants to get things done!
What position/dept was this person in and who/what is she going to push
through to? I’m curious because the kind of exception you are talking
about should have to go before the city council, but maybe she knows a
way to avoid that. Please keep us posted. Kristine

Congratulations! It’s always nice to hear of persistence that pays off and that government occasionally succumbs to common sense.
