You need to figure out who the heirs are here. If she had brothers and they are alive, it would be them. Talk to an attorney who is familair with probate law in your state so you can find out how the whole heir thing works down the family tree. Worst case scenario and you can’t find anyone approach the lien holder. They may be willing to sell their position to you … then YOU foreclose.
Came across vacant house, after doing some research I found out that the owner died 3 months ago.
It turns out that she did not leave and heirs, she had 2 brothers that never married and had no heirs as well.
House is being in tax lien foreclosure.
Here is my question:
Can the family of her husband that died long before her claim any rights to the house?
Should I just contact foreclosing person and try to buy this house after he finishes tax lien foreclosure?
