TV advertising is very expensive. Those who have tried it report poor results.
However, you don’t know what will work where you are until you try it.
I’d just suggest not spending much money to create the advertisement and test it briefly, while at the same time using other advertising media that are cheaper.
I’m about to take a page out Carleton Sheets book and run some late night TV ads to attract motivated sellers. Has anyone used this method of advertising?
If so:
How effective was the ad?
How was it done?
Did you do anything different to get the phone ringing?
Is this your first time doing REI? If so, I don’t know if I’d start with expensive TV ads unless you’re taling about the bulletin board type stuff that comes across your public access cable stations.
About the only thing I do different to get the phone ringing is to hunt down people in trouble (i.e. pre-foreclosures) and knock on their door.
I’ve done some deals and I want to put some money in different areas of marketing. I got some really cheap ad rates with a local station here in town and wanted to test the waters if I could come up with something really good.
