What book /course first? - Posted by Norm

Real estate is not rocket science, but it does have its own jargon associated with it.

Therefore, I recommend a trip to the local library. I would find books for real estate salesperson licensing, broker licensing, and a general construction book. These will be your foundation of knowledge.

Next, move onto Lonnie’s two books for about sixty dollars.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello, I like to know which book or course to purchase as a newbie. If you could give advice on your top three, I would appreciate it - Norm

Hello Norm,

It depends on what investment niche has your fancy. If it is mobile home investing, I would suggest:

  1. "Deals On Wheels by Lonnie Scruggs
  2. “Making Money with Mobile Homes”, by Lonnie Scruggs
  3. “Get Rich Helping Others” by Ernest Tew.

If you are interested in mobile home notes:

  1. “Tin Can Alley” by David Butler
  2. “Cashing In” by Terry Vaughan
  3. “Paper Into Gold” by Terry Vaughan (covers more than just mobile home notes)

There are many different investment strategies. Once you decide on a particular niche, you should focus upon becoming an expert in that area.

Hope this gives you some ideas.
