They’ll never figure it out in just 60 days. Even if they do, if you have a legitimate reason for having to move it shouldn’t be a problem as long as you are making payments on the loan.

Hi,to make a long story short,I just refinanced my home, but I now need to move and I want to rent it out.I read the mortgage papers and it says if I am not living in the house for the first 6o days that they will call the loan or take other action. My question is how often do they check up on this and how do they find out.I can’t wait 60 days to rent it, but I don’t want to get in trouble. Thanks Betty

Don’t worry they won’t find out. It doesn’t make much sense anyway for just 60 days. It might take 30 days or more before you get someone in there anyway. Since you are going to be a landlord check out www.mrlandlord.com. You might want to do a lease option instead of a straight rental.
