This is a very expensive fix. The stringers hold up the whole home. If they fail, the ceiling will drop 3 feet or more. Not good. I would pass on this one.

Best investing, Chris

Looked at an older 16x80 that was in pretty solid shape. It was all 2x6 with double paned windows. One major problem was it had the textured/grooved wood siding that was 60% rotted. I figure that is no big deal except that the problem had allowed moisture in which settled and started to rot the perimeter wood and stringers. The perimeter seemed very bad maybe 50% or more and it had crept back 6"-12" on the stringers? joists? which run across the steel beams. The floor was very solid except for nearly all around the outside perimeter. Doors closed good.

Is this as expensive to fix as it sounds?

Thanks
